The Role of Growth Differentiation Factors 11 and 15 (GDF11, GDF15), Eotaxin-1 (CCL11) and Junctional Adhesion Molecule a (JAM-A) in the Regulation of Blood Pressure in Women with Essential Hypertension

چکیده

Evaluation of biomarkers of arterial hypertension (AH) could be considered to be useful as early, more reliable and accurate diagnostic indicators for AH than simply measuring of blood pressure (BP) in routine clinical practice, especially at early stages of hypertension. For instance, an increased level of a soluble protein junctional adhesion molecule-A (JAM-A) was previously found to be associated with human hypertension [1,2]. JAM-A upregulation may be triggered by AT [1] receptor-mediated signaling and therefore it is suggested that JAM-A may have a prognostic and possibly a pathogenic role in the development of AH [3]. Recently, Bhat SA et al. [4] found that in patients with AH the expression of adhesion molecules (including JAM-A) on brain endothelium is increased [4].

Upregulation of junctional adhesion molecule-A is a putative prognostic marker of hypertension

AIMS Establishing biochemical markers of pre-hypertension and early hypertension could help earlier diagnostics and therapeutic intervention. We assess dynamics of junctional adhesion molecule-A (JAM-A) expression in rat models of hypertension and test whether JAM-A expression could be driven by angiotensin (ANG) II and whether JAM-A contributes to the progression of hypertension. We also compa...

Junctional adhesion molecule-1 may have a wider role in cardiovascular disease.

Junctional Adhesion Molecule-1 May Have a Wider Role in Cardiovascular Disease To the Editor: Junctional adhesion molecule-1 (JAM-1; or F11 receptor) was first discovered as a surface protein on human platelets.1 It was later recognized as a receptor in the tight junction between cells involved in leukocyte migration in inflammation and platelet adhesion in thrombosis. The recent study by Waki ...

اثر یک دوره تمرین هوازی بر شاخص‌های عملکرد اندوتلیالی زنان یائسه مبتلا به پرفشار خونی

Background & Aims : Aging and the loss of endogenous estrogen production after menopause are accompanied by increases in blood pressure and endothelial dysfunction. Exercise training improves endothelial function in patients with hypertension. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of aerobic training on some markers of endothelial function in hypertensive postmenopausal women.   M...

P 16: The Effect of Reducing CCL11 on Multiple Sclerosis Treatment by Using Heterochronic Parabiosis Techniques

Introduction: Multiple sclerosis is a chronic neuroinflammatory disease that leads to distribute neurodegeneration in the grey and white matter of the brain.  In MS, age-related iron accumulation, chronic oxidative injury and activation of microglia are key factors to create neurodegeneration. Also concentration of CCL11 is increased in   multiple sclerosis. CCL11 can amplify glu...
